Upholstery material is the most common material for finishing (upholstery, covering or re-trimming) of car interiors. It consists of three components (layers). The front layer is a fabric made of synthetic yarns.

As a middle layer, foam rubber (polyurethane foam) is used, to which the front and back layers are glued on both sides by means of fire lamination. In the production of triplicated upholstery material, a fabric made of synthetic yarns is used as the back layer. The triplication process is carried out with the help of a fire lamination machine.

Triplication is performed with polyurethane foam, which is melted under the influence of high temperature and, passing through the pressure rollers, is glued simultaneously with the lining on one side and the fabric (front layer) on the other side. The result is a three-layer upholstery material.
