Description
Turnstile is a part of ACS and is designed for: a) organising authorised entry to and exit from protected areas and premises by identifying a person by a combination of various features; b) preventing unauthorised access to protected areas and premises. In the turnstile, personal identification is performed using an access card. Depending on the additional equipment connected to the turnstile, the personal identification can be performed using: <ul> <li>- individual pin code;</li> <li>biometric parameters.</li> </ul>When a radiation monitoring system, metal detector or explosives detector is connected to the turnstile, an attempt to smuggle nuclear materials, metal objects or explosives, respectively, is controlled. The turnstile is a controlled barrier device and provides: <ul> <li>- complete blocking of the passage opening;</li> <li>automatic and manual (in emergency situations) unblocking of the rotor.</li> </ul>
