Hydraulic Turbine for Small Hydro Power Plants - Less than 50 MW

Hydroturbine is designed to convert the mechanical energy of water flow into rotational energy of the impeller (type-turbine - rotary-blade). The shaft of the hydraulic turbine is connected to the rotor shaft of the electric current generator. The water flow in the rotary vane turbine moves along its axis. The water flow before entering the working chamber is twisted in the spiral chamber, which ensures a uniform water flow to the turbine blades. A rotary-blade hydro turbine is a jet turbine whose blades can rotate around its axis simultaneously, thus regulating its power.
