Distinctive features of the E6-42 micro-ohmmeter are a wider measuring range and a unique possibility to select the measuring current. In analogues the current is automatically selected depending on the range. In addition, measuring current values in different parts of the range can be set from 10 nA to 10A. These characteristics proved to be very demanded for the tasks of measuring the resistivity and surface resistivity of materials and, in particular, silicon wafers.
