Fibre optic cable of modular construction with a steel central element around which optical modules with freely laid fibres are twisted. The free space in the optical modules and in the cable core is filled with hydrophobic gel, the core is covered with polymer-coated aluminium tape or corrugated aluminium tape, with an outer sheath made of polymer material that does not spread combustion. Number of optical fibres in the cable from 1 to 288, permissible tensile force from 1.0 kN to 2.7 kN.
