Description

The OneTouch Select® Plus 50 test strips are single-use test strips filled with chemical reagents that, when used with a OneTouch glucometer, determine the concentration of glucose in whole capillary blood. The measurement is based on the amperometric method, in which the measured value is the strength of the electric current generated by the redox process. The electric current generated is proportional to the concentration of glucose in the blood sample. The glucometer measures the electric current and displays the corresponding glucose concentration value on the screen, storing the result in the memory. A colour cue appears on the screen along with the blood glucose level. Three colours - blue, green and red - help to assess the result.
