PIKSAN Bulk Material Heating Device for Efficient Frost Removal in Railcars

The PIKSAN device for defrosting bulk cargoes in gondola cars is a passage module, on two sides of which infrared heating panels PIKSAN model PIKS 8,2-982626-36 are installed. PIKSAN panels are installed on cantilever-jointed devices - CCHU.

The module is located inside the hangar along the overhead track. If the wagons are unloaded by means of a wagon tipper, the hangar must be located in close proximity to the latter.

Carriages with cargo are fed in accordance with the mode (rhythm) of the wagon dumper operation. The module heats and maintains the temperature of the wagon walls to the temperature of about 70...90 ° C, which ensures unloading without further cleaning of the wagon.
