Description
The turbine shaft is the most critical part of the turbine and is the only organ that transmits torque from the turbine impeller to the generator rotor. The turbine shaft is a cylindrical forging with a central axial hole and with two flanges at the ends, with which it is bolted together with the impeller and the flange of the generator shaft.
