Description
Designed for heating and cooling of temperature sensors (thermocouples and resistance thermometers), mercury, alcohol and other thermometers during verification and calibration in laboratory conditions. Ethyl alcohol is used as a coolant. The cryostat is made in a metal case with a reservoir inside.
The reservoir is filled with coolant (about 10 kg) - rectified ethyl alcohol. Inside the reservoir there is a cylinder in which a thermostated volume is organised. To improve the cryostat characteristics, the coolant in the tank is continuously stirred.
In the thermostated volume, the coolant moves from bottom to top. The coolant level is considered normal when the coolant overflows over the top edge of the nozzle. The difference between the level of the coolant inside the nozzle and outside during mixing must not exceed 40 mm.
KR -80 has a protection: in case of freon leakage it is not switched on. The KR -80 has a system for maintaining the level of the coolant.
