Description

TA-12A is designed for air-starting of marshalling engines, air-conditioning of aircraft cabins, powering the on-board network with AC and DC electricity on the ground and in flight. Design: four-stage axial compressor (wheel of the 1st stage is diagonal), three-stage axial turbine, DC generator GS-12TO1, AC generator GT40HR8B. Modification TA-12A (1979) for Tu-154M, Tu-160, Il-76MD, A-40 aircraft and Mi-26 helicopter differs in the absence of the air intake shroud at the compressor inlet.
