DS Type Cable - Fully Dielectric Self-Supporting Cable for Reliable Installations

As one of the world's most popular fully dielectric self-supporting cables, DS is extremely reliable, with a load-bearing capacity for long spans (up to 1000 metres and more*) - this makes it today an excellent solution for the most important requirements of overhead line design, high-performance applications in distribution networks and on power transmission lines. The outer jacket is available in a choice of medium density polyethylene (MDPE), high density polyethylene (HDPE), crack resistant polyethylene compound or non-combustible compound, depending on the application.
Application:
Optical self-supporting cable is designed for hanging on the supports of overhead communication lines, contact network and autoblocking of electrified railways and power lines, including with particularly high requirements for resistance to external electromagnetic effects, on bridges and overpasses, in tunnels, in collectors, at power facilities, between buildings and structures.
