Emergency Recovery Device for Seismic Streamer SRD-500S - Ensuring Safety in Seismic Operations

The device of emergency surfacing of seismic streamer SRD - 500S EMRG.2318.00.000.000 (hereinafter referred to as the Device) is designed to exclude loss of seismic streamer, in case of its mechanical detachment from the vessel transporting it and sinking to the depth of operation of the emergency surfacing mechanism installed in this Device. The main function of the Device is automatic surfacing: when the seismic streamer, to which the Device is attached, is submerged to the threshold depth of automatic operation, the inflatable buoy of the automatic surfacing mechanism is filled with CO2 gas and the Device together with the seismic streamer attached to it floats to the water surface, which prevents the loss of expensive hydrographic equipment.
