The environment may contain explosive mixtures of gases and vapours with air of categories IIA, IIB and IIC. The device is optionally equipped with a sun visor, cable glands and remote control panel.

The device is recommended for use at chemical and petrochemical production facilities, in chemically aggressive alkaline and acidic environments, on oil and gas production platforms in seawater and salt fog.
