Description
A flat construction optical cable contains an optical module and fibreglass rods arranged along it on a common transverse axis. The total number of single-mode or multimode OVs in the cable is up to 48. The intramodular space is filled with hydrophobic compound or other water-blocking material along its entire length. On top of the fibreglass rods and the optical module between them, located on a common transverse axis, an outer sheath made of polyethylene or polymer compound, or polymer compound that does not propagate combustion, or polyethylene resistant to surface electrical breakdown (dielectric tracking) is overlaid The outer jacket provides resistance to ultraviolet radiation.
