Description
Lip seals are installed where the shaft exits the turbine housing. In areas In areas below atmospheric pressure, as in the DDC, the end seals prevent atmospheric air from being sucked into the turbine and condenser, ensuring their normal operation. DDC end seals are a type of labyrinth seals. DDC end seals have only two chambers: supply of sealing steam and suction of steam and atmospheric air mixture.
