High-Frequency Local Communication Cables for Digital Transmission Systems in Broadband Networks

1 Conducting cores - single-wire from copper soft round wire with nominal diameter 0,5 and 0,64 mm. 2 Insulation - film-porous-film (three-layer, consisting of solid, porous and solid layers of polyethylene). Insulated cores are twisted in pairs with a pitch not exceeding 40 mm.

Along the insulated cores when twisting a pair of cable is laid a thread of water-blocking material. Nominal number of pairs in the cable: 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 50, 75? 100.

Pairs are twisted in three, four or five-pair elementary bundles. The elementary bundles are overlaid with water blocking tape. 3 Core - twisted from elementary bundles of different colours.

When twisting the cable core, strands of water blocking material are laid over the cable core. 4 Belt insulation consists of two layers: polyethylene terephthalate tape and water blocking tape. 5 Shield - aluminopolyethylene tape with aluminium layer of nominal thickness not less than 0,08 mm with tinned copper wire laid under it.
