Description
The impeller chamber is an element of the flowing part of the hydraulic turbine. The shape of the impeller chamber influences the flow capacity and cavitation qualities of the impeller. The part of the impeller chamber located above the axis of rotation is made cylindrical, the part of the chamber located below the axis - spherical, which provides minimum and constant clearances when turning the blades, which leads to reduced leakage and increased efficiency.
