KARS Topaz Speech Communication Equipment for Air Traffic Control

KARS Topaz is designed for use as part of ATC systems and provides: - two-way radio communication (RC) in VHF and UHF bands between ATC centre dispatchers and aircraft crews in telephone or GGS mode;- two-way VHF ground-to-ground RC with mobile objects in the aerodrome area;- organisation of listening to VOLMET and ATIS radio channels at ATC controllers' workplaces; - in-centre operational and command telephone (intercom) communication (TC) of ATC centre controllers and technical personnel servicing the ATC centre;- listening to the VHF band; - providing microphone work through the long-range drive beacon; - external operational-command TC with remote ATC facilities through the channels of the ATC centres voice communication network; - non-operational in-centre and external TC through PBXs, as well as PBX telephone network of public communications; - non-operational TC through switching equipment SCRS with subscribers of the system, to which there is no direct access; - etc.
