KT7 Air Compressor for Reliable Pneumatic System Applications

The range of compressors KT includes models KT6, KT7 and KT6El. These compressors are designed to produce compressed air required to supply brake and other pneumatic systems and devices of railway rolling stock. The KT7 compressor differs from the KT6 compressor in the direction of rotation of the crankshaft, fan and oil pump (anti-clockwise when viewed from the drive side) and are installed, respectively, on different models of locomotives. The KT6 El compressor differs from the KT6 compressor by the absence of unloading devices in the valve boxes and the presence of an electric oil heater in the compressor housing with voltage 50 V and power 660 W. Compressor KT6El is installed on electric locomotives.
