AN8 Lower Limb and Torso Orthosis System for Enhanced Mobility and Support

The lower limb and trunk apparatus is an orthosis system that covers both limbs and trunk of the patient. It consists of two full leg apparatuses and a supportive corset. The finished product keeps the recipient completely upright or allows movement at the expense of healthy joints.

The receiving sleeves of the apparatus are made of thermoplastic or acrylic resins. Attachment is in the form of straps or adhesive tapes. Joints in the hip, knee and ankle joints can facilitate or block movement.

A corset or semi-corset provides additional support for the spine. The corset is secured with a rigid adjustable strap and a lock on the orthosis. The product is made individually.
