Description
Ship diesel engine M503M-1 (42ChNP16/17) according to TU24-6-5410-74 with Supplement No. 2, designed for installation on ships as the main engine. Full power 1840 kW (2500 hp) at crankshaft speed 1780 rpm.
The direction of rotation of the power take-off flange according to GOST 22836-77 is right or left, depending on the diesel engine version. Overall dimensions , mm (length/width/height): 3900/1560/1560. Weight 5600 kg.
Design features of the diesel engine: star-shaped arrangement of cylinder blocks, liquid cooling with gas turbine supercharging from the drive turbocharger, with system pumps. The diesel engine includes a decoupling clutch and a two-stage gearbox with a gear ratio of 0.179.
