Description
Technical normal butyl alcohol (n-butanol) (hereinafter referred to as butyl alcohol) is obtained by oxosynthesis, aldolisation of acetaldehyde, fermentation. It is intended for use as a solvent in the paint and varnish industry, as well as for synthesis of various organic products, production of reagents, etc. Formula: C4H9OH. Depending on the method of obtaining butyl alcohol is divided into synthetic alcohol obtained by oxosynthesis and aldolisation of acetaldehyde (grade A), alcohol obtained by fermentation (grade B).
