Polystyrene foam plastic PS-1-600

Tile foam plastic PS-1 is produced by press method on the basis of polystyrene and is a closed-cell plastic. Foam plastics are characterised by lightness, good heat- and sound-insulating properties, high electrical performance and low water absorption. Foam plastic of PS-1 mark is a radio-transparent material.

Foam plastics are used in various branches of technology and national economy. Constructions made with the use of these materials have high strength and rigidity at low weight. Good electrical insulating properties of foams allow manufacturing various products of radio and electrical industry.

Polystyrene foams are resistant to weak and strong mineral acids (except concentrated nitric and hydrochloric acids), as well as to weak and strong alkalis. They swell strongly in petrol and have a considerable weight in oils. Complex esters, ketones, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons have a destructive effect on them.
