Description
Iron oxide, volumetric additive in ceramic products for red-burning and white-burning clays at firing over 1000 degrees, gives bricks (and other ceramics) colour from maroon to cherry. The recommended rate of addition is from 5% to 10% of the mass. It is also used in the production of paints and varnishes and the glass industry.
