Tatami for judo and martial arts is a sports floor covering for training and competitions in judo, aikido, karate and other martial arts. Tatami is a mat (polyethylene foam PPE or polyurethane foam of secondary foaming PVV) covered with judo fabric with embossed "rice straw". This embossing gives the tatami anti-slip properties.
