Special Tow Truck SMA20 for Effective Vehicle Recovery and Transport

The special wrecker vehicle type SMA20 is designed for evacuation from the scene of an accident or transporting faulty vehicles to the place of repair. It can also be used for transporting vehicles over medium distances. Depending on the modification it can be equipped with straight, broken, sliding and two-level (for transporting two cars) all-metal platforms with hydraulic drive and without, with load capacity from 2 to 4 tonnes. Loading of the vehicle on the platform is carried out by hydraulic or electric winch. The design of the vehicle does not provide for the use of an additional engine to power the working bodies and attachments. Functioning of working bodies is carried out by the PTO from the base engine of the chassis.
