Description
A tool that is inserted into the head of a screw, to apply rotation to tighten/loosen/remove the screw during surgery. The instrument usually has a high quality stainless steel rod with a distal end designed to be inserted into the screw head, which may be slotted, Phillips, Supadriv, Pozidriv, star, Allen, Robertson, square, spanner or single sided. The proximal end of the rod may have a handle for manual use, or it may have a profiled shank that fits into a replacement screwdriver handle, hand-operated chuck, or powered screwdriver. It is a reusable product.
