Description
Tools surgical clamping multi-surface are designed for temporary squeezing of tissues during operations to stop bleeding, blocking the lumen of hollow organs or for fixation (retention) of tissues and organs (forceps) and supply of various materials (auxiliary clamps). They are designed to hold and guide surgical needles through tissues when suturing. Needle holders by design are close to hemostatic clamps, but their working part is shorter and, therefore, the needle clamping force is greater than the force acting on the tissues in hemostatic clamps, 2-3 times.
This is necessary to ensure that the needle is securely held by the jaws. In addition, to prevent the needle from slipping out of the clamp, increase the coefficient of friction between the needle and the jaws of the clamp, making on the jaws fine cross-cutting with a pitch of 0.4-0.8 mm..
