Description
The operation of compressor-condenser units (CCB) and chillers is based on the use of heat of phase transitions. These units are most widely used in the field of air conditioning. The fundamental difference between a CCB and a chiller is the ability of a CCB paired with an evaporator to directly cool air in the process of boiling of the refrigerating agent, while chillers are designed for cooling liquid carrier (water, aqueous solutions of glycols, etc.). CCBs are mainly designed to provide refrigeration to a single customer. Chillers are able to provide cold to a large number of consumers both at a remote distance and in the immediate vicinity of the equipment.
