The flaw detector is designed to detect defects of the continuity violation type (cracks, pores and others) with measurement and registration in the memory of the flaw detector of the characteristics of the detected defects (amplitude of the reflected signal, coordinates and others in ultrasonic mode), determination of the depth of surface defects (in eddy current mode) during manual inspection and with the use of scanning devices. The flaw detector can be used during installation, operation and repair in construction, mechanical engineering, power engineering, metallurgical industry, transport and other industries. Defectoscope is designed to work with mechanised scanning devices USK-VT for eddy current nondestructive testing (VTC) of solid rolled wagon wheels according to GOST 10791 with flat tapered disc shape complete with scanning devices USK-VT-1, USK-VT-D1, USK-VT-C2 and tuning sample NO A-VT.
