The half-masks are designed to protect human respiratory organs from various types of aerosols, dust (mineral, metallic, animal, vegetable, synthetic detergent dust, etc.) in the air of the working area. It is forbidden to use the half-mask for protection against gases and vapours of harmful substances, aerosols of organic solvents, easily combustible and highly toxic substances. The half-mask is used in climatic zones IV (1) - IA ("special") at ambient temperature from minus 10 °? to plus 40 °?. The volume fraction of free oxygen in the working area air should be not less than 17 % and aerosol concentration not higher than 100 mg/m3 for low protection efficiency.
