Description
Graffitised electrodes and nipples are designed for electric arc furnaces. The electrodes have threaded nipple sockets on their ends to connect the electrodes to each other using a nipple to assemble a column of several electrodes. The electrode columns are expendable on the arc side, and as they are consumed, build-up with new electrodes is made on the opposite side. Nipple is a part of the electrode column, has the shape of a truncated cone with a common base, threads on both sides and serves to connect two electrodes of the same diameter for electric arc furnaces.
