Description
The low pressure ethane evaporator is designed for cascade cooling of natural gas in LNG production. Low-pressure ethane evaporator is a vertical apparatus with a twisted heat-exchange surface made of 10x1 - 12X18N10T GOST 9941-81 pipes, separation elements in the upper part of the body, four annular manifolds connected to the pipe grids through transition sockets. The pipe space is conventionally divided into two parts, one of which is supplied with nitrogen (inner bundle) and the other with natural gas (outer bundle). The natural gas and nitrogen stream are fed into the unit through annular manifolds. The product inlet (outlet) provides a uniform distribution of heat exchange tubes over the cross-section of the apparatus, which has a positive effect on the overall hydraulic resistance in the tubes and intertube space, hence on the operation of the twisted evaporator as a whole.
