Microtube with anticoagulant K3EDTA for capillary

Modification "UNIVET-III-100" is a non-sterile polypropylene tube for blood collection by gravity, locking lid and with anticoagulant K3EDTA applied to the hemispherical bottom and walls of the tube.The volume of blood sampled is 100 µl. Overall dimensions of the tube: length from 47 to 48 mm, external diameter from 12.7 to 12.9 mm. The principle of operation of the UNIVET-III microtube is based on the use of a tube with industrially applied anticoagulant, designed for a given nominal sample volume.

Blood is collected into the tube by gravity from the puncture site. The top edge of the tube is spatula-shaped to facilitate blood collection. The tapered shape of the tube and the rounded bottom of the tube facilitate the most complete utilisation of the blood sample in the analysis.
