Compressor stationary piston crosshead three-stage opposition 2VM4-54/3C with water cooling. The unit can be operated without the use of cylinder lubrication and oil seals, which means it can be used for a wide range of industrial needs, including production facilities that have certain requirements to the purity of compressed air. The complete compressor unit consists of the compressor, refrigerators (air coolers), air pipework, cooling and automation systems.

The compressor is a piston crosshead machine with opposed cylinder arrangement. For separation of liquid and oil particles there are cavities in coolers or moisture and oil separators, from where condensate and oil are removed by periodic purging. The compressor is driven by an in-built electric motor, the motor stator is attached to the frame lantern and the rotor is mounted on the compressor crankshaft shank.

A significant number of assemblies and parts are unitised and interchangeable.
