Description
Potato planter is designed for planting ungerminated potatoes with a given (adjustable) step to a given depth. It can be used in all soil and climatic zones where potatoes are cultivated. The potato planter is used only after soil preparation for planting in accordance with agrotechnical requirements.
Its use for planting potatoes on soils not prepared in the above mentioned manner, as well as on soils clogged with stones with dimensions of more than 150mm is not recommended. It can be used both independently and as part of a potato planting unit, which includes a milling cultivator, a potato planter and a passive ridge former and provides soil preparation, planting and ridge formation in one pass. The potato planter is designed to work on flat areas and slopes up to 8 degrees.
The potato planter is a semi-trailed implement and is coupled with tractors of traction class not lower than 2.0 (depending on the equipment).
