Rotor of turbogenerator TVV-165-2UZ for power unit

The rotor is made of one-piece forging of high quality steel, providing its mechanical strength in all operating modes. In the rotor barrel the excitation winding, made of strip copper, hardened with silver additive, is placed. The groove part of the rotor winding along its length is divided into compartments for gas inlet and outlet with the same number of holes in each compartment, providing uniform temperature of the winding along the whole length of the rotor.

The winding frontal parts are fixed by special wedges and spacers and covered with glass-textolite segments and bandage rings. Bandage rings are made of corrosion-resistant steel. To protect the rotor from reverse sequence currents, short-circuit rings in the form of two-layer segments are installed.

Current leads are installed in the central axial hole of the rotor and connected to the winding and contact steel rings by means of insulated bars and special bolts, located behind the bearing at the free end of the shaft.
