The semi-trailer-tank NEFAZ-96896 is designed for transportation and short-term storage of light oil products. NEFAZ-96896 semi-trailer with imported axles, drum brake system, g / d up to 9 tonnes per each axle. Technically permissible maximum mass on each axle, starting from the front axle, kg:7160...7933/7160...7933/7160...7934.

Tank with the number of compartments from one to five, cylindrical tank, variable cross-section, calibrated. Equipped with: earthing device, discharge and filling equipment consisting of pipelines, bottom valves, stop valves and bottom valve control system, inscription: "FIRE DANGER", seamless conduits for electrical wiring protection, powder fire extinguishers, bitumen and oil heating system. Optional: pump, counter, measuring unit.

The support device serves as a front support of the PPP uncoupled from the tractor. The bogie is a three-axle bogie with single-axle coupling. Suspension is dependent, pneumatic, with lifting front axle.

Braking systems: working - with pneumatic two-conductor drive, drum-type brakes of all wheels, with EBS; parking - with drive from spring energy accumulators to the brakes of the wheels of the middle and rear axles.
