Description

Optical cable type SL-OKDM is designed for suspension on the supports of communication lines, contact network of railways and poles of street lighting. It is used for internal laying and external laying. SL-OKDM construction consists of a central dielectric fibreglass rod with a coiling of water-blocking thread, around which polymer modules containing up to 48 optical fibres are twisted (cordels are added if necessary), on top of which a second layer of water-blocking tape is applied (additional protection against moisture ingress). The maximum permissible tensile load is achieved through the use of glass fibres arranged in a multidirectional twist method. The outer sheath is made of UV-resistant high-density polyethylene by default.
