Description

A powered device, which may include non-invasive accessories, designed to irrigate and aspirate (i.e., the device is capable of both functions) body cavities and wounds, typically during endoscopic and/or orthopaedic surgery, typically to improve vision. Designed to remove tissue/fluids/organic debris by suction and to flush the surgical field with sterile fluid (e.g., saline); not intended for parenteral administration of fluids or drugs. Waste collection containers or tubing may be included; does not contain patient contact items (e.g., holder/tip, catheter).
