Hydroshields of monoblock modular design (hereinafter referred to as "hydroshields"), designed for: <ul> <li>- protection of submersible oil-filled electric motors of series (H, B) of PEDs from penetration of formation liquid into their internal cavity;</li> <li>equalisation of pressure in the internal cavity of the motor with the pressure of formation fluid in the well;</li> <li>gas removal from the internal cavity of the engine into the annulus space through valves installed in the hydraulic protectors;</li> <li>compensation of oil leakage and thermal changes of oil volume in them during engine operation and shutdown;</li> <li>absorbing the axial load from the pump shaft when the pump is operated without axial support.</li> </ul>Depending on the cross-sectional dimension, hydraulic guards are manufactured in dimensions: 2A, 3, 4, 5, 5A, 6, 8.
