The torsion shaft with arms (and supports) is designed for installation in the composition of the torsion stabiliser, counteracting the tilt of the body of locomotive traction wagons/engine rolling stock.The principle of operation of the torsion shaft with arms (and supports) is as follows.The shaft supports are rigidly connected with the frame of the bogie/body of the wagon, and the arms with the tips of the rods. When the wagon is tilted in the transverse direction (in relation to the direction of wagon movement), the rods move (one rod moves upwards, the other rod moves downwards). At the same time, taking into account the rigid connection between the levers and the torsion shaft, the levers, taking the load from the rods, twist the torsion shaft in accordance with the direction of movement of the rods (one lever twists the torsion shaft clockwise, the other twists the torsion shaft anti-clockwise).
