Sodium citrate is an anticoagulant for venous blood and is used for coagulation studies.This vacuum tube is intended for haemostasis studies and contains a trisodium citrate solution with a citrate concentration of 3.8% (0.129 mol/L). The ratio of blood and sodium citrate volumes is 9:1.The blood volume to be drawn is 3.6 ml.
