Koder (radiation-resistant VLSI 5022VX014) is designed for real-time compression of ultra-high-definition digital video stream and is oriented for application in conditions of space radiation exposure.
VLSI 5022VX014 can be used as part of on-board space video communication systems, as well as aviation communication equipment designed for video information transmission from manned and unmanned aircraft.
Distinctive features of the technology of adaptive video data compression - EVC (Enhanced Video Coding):
use of three-dimensional discrete cosine transform of TV signal;
noise cancellation and scene change detection;
variable depth of processed spatio-temporal data domains;
iterative entropy coding of transformants
