Installation of spiral chamber and stator

Spiral chamber, serves for uniform water supply to the turbine impeller. It is a spiral in plan metal structure with radial cross-sections gradually decreasing from the inlet cross-section to the end of the chamber. Compared to other types of turbine chambers (open or casing), it provides the best water supply with the smallest dimensions and minimum losses. Turbine stator, is the main supporting structure of the turbine and is designed to transfer loads from the turbine mechanisms and axial water pressure on the concrete foundation of the unit.
