Condensate and Oil Product Tank Car, Model 15-629 for Efficient Rail Transport

The tank wagon model 15-629 is designed for carriage of light oil products on mainline railways of 1520 mm gauge.

The unique tank car design consists of two boilers connected by the SAC-1 RUS freight car articulation unit, which ensures unobstructed passage of curvilinear track sections, including those with a small radius. Design parameters of the tank car allow to use the maximum capacity of the wagon when transporting light oil products with density up to 0.84 t/m3, solving the problem of underloading when transporting in typical four-axle wagons. Total volume of boilers is 160 m3, wagon load capacity is 108 tonnes.

The existing infrastructure limitations of consignors and consignees were taken into account when developing the wagon. The length of the tank car along the coupling axes is 24,040 mm, the length of one section is 12,020 mm, which is comparable to the length of a typical four-axle tank car.
